Dentists like Brittany are definitely one of the many types of essential workers who have been providing special care to their communities during the coronavirus. Brittany acknowledges those essential workers outside of the medical field whose contributions are just as essential below:

“As we all know, essential workers extend far beyond the medical field. There are outstanding members of society ensuring that we have groceries, internet, transportation, mail packages, and so much more. These people, like all the heroes I mentioned before, are also doing their part to ensure that we get through this.

One of the meanings of the number 2020 in numerology is a focus on relationships and teamwork. I can truly say that the recent works of public service workers all over epitomize the meaning of redefining relationships and being united in teamwork. As tragic as this situation has been, it has also been encouraging to see people bravely come together in solitude as we eradicate this virus.”

I'm pretty sure no one anticipated Covid-19 when the ball dropped at midnight on January 1st, 2020. Nonetheless, we've all been rolling with the punches and dealing with this pandemic as best as we can. Personally, I've been in deep thought quite a bit. I pray for those grieving loved ones due to the virus. I also pray for those on the frontlines that are working relentlessly to put an end to the pandemic. I've heard firsthand accounts of the especially grueling nature of working in the hospitals during this time: long hours with no end in sight, being away from family and worrying about their well-being, having to relay bad news to others about their families…. it's a lot physically and emotionally to say the least. I truly salute the doctors and nurses taking care of America, and I also salute those keeping the hospitals clean, those ensuring that patients' meals are properly cooked, and so many more. I'll even send a quick shoutout to my dental colleagues: I know we have been working even harder than before to encourage patients to visit the dental office for dental emergencies at this time instead of crowding the hospital emergency rooms, and we've also pitched in to help our hospital counterparts as needed.
